We have a range of Extra Curricular Club that run here at St Joseph's, these change each term and sign up information is sent out the term before. Please see the below for a bit of information about some of the clubs we run:
Eco Warriors
Our Eco Warriors Club is an exciting club where students come together to learn how to care for our planet and make a positive difference in our school community. Each week, members take part in fun and meaningful activities such as recycling projects, planting flowers and vegetables, learning about wildlife, and finding ways to reduce waste. The club encourages teamwork, creativity, and responsibility while helping students understand the importance of protecting the environment. Through Eco Club, children develop practical skills and become thoughtful young leaders who are proud to help make our school a greener and more sustainable place. 🌱🌍
Homework Club
Our Homework Club is a supportive club where students have the opportunity to complete their homework in a calm and focused environment. During the sessions, children can ask for help, clarify any parts of their learning they find challenging, and develop good study habits. The club encourages independence, organisation, and confidence while ensuring that students feel supported in their learning. Homework Club also provides a great chance for pupils to review what they have learned in class and strengthen their understanding before returning home. 📚✏️
Choir
Our Choir is a joyful after-school club where students come together to develop their singing skills and share their love of music. During each session, pupils learn a variety of songs, practise vocal techniques, and work together to create a confident and harmonious sound. Choir helps students build confidence, teamwork, and performance skills while encouraging them to express themselves through music. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to have fun, make new friends, and take pride in performing as part of a group. 🎵🎤
Netball
Our Netball Club is an energetic after-school club where students can develop their skills and enjoy being active as part of a team. During each session, pupils practice important netball techniques such as passing, shooting, and teamwork through a variety of fun drills and games. The club encourages good sportsmanship, cooperation, and confidence while helping students improve their fitness and coordination. Netball Club provides a great opportunity for children to learn new skills, stay active, and enjoy friendly competition. We also compete at matches against other schools. 🏐🏃♀️
Lego Club
Our Lego Club is a fun and creative club where students use their imagination to design and build a variety of exciting models. During each session, pupils work independently or in small teams to complete building challenges, create their own unique structures, and develop problem-solving skills. The club encourages creativity, teamwork, and perseverance while allowing children to explore their ideas through hands-on building. Lego Club is a wonderful opportunity for students to relax, have fun, and take pride in their creations. 🧱✨
PH Sports
Our PH Sports Club is an active and enjoyable after-school club where students have the opportunity to take part in a range of exciting sports and physical activities. Run by our PE providers the club is facilitate by trained sports coaches. During each session, pupils practice different skills, play team games, and work together to build confidence and teamwork. The club encourages a positive attitude towards physical activity while helping children improve their coordination, fitness, and sportsmanship. PH Sports Club provides a great opportunity for students to stay active, try new sports, and have fun with their friends. 🏃♂️⚽
