Year 4 is an exciting time in your primary school journey, full of amazing topics and projects for us to get stuck into! We are here to help your children learn more about the world around them, to grow in their confidence and learning.  We want them to Shine in the light of Christ in all they do, providing the children with exciting learning opportunities in a supportive, environment, helping them to be the very best that they can be and building a lifelong love of learning.

We look forward to working with all parents to ensure that their children feel happy and confident in coming into Attenborough Class.  If you have any concerns, Mrs Jones and Mrs Schofield are here to help.

Information

Homework

Homework is given out on a Monday and returned the following Monday.  We encourage the children to practice their spellings each day both individually and in sentences to ensure support recall and understanding.  

Dance Festival

Every year, Year 4 are invited to attend a festival of dance at Dauntsey School.  This is a wonderful chance for our pupils, along with other schools, to perform on a stage with lighting, costumes and make up without it being a competition.  The children work really hard on their routines and it is such a joyful occasion!  A favourite part of the year.

Times tables

We build upon the strong times tables teaching which has been taught through the school, ensuring that the children have fluency in their times tables in readiness for the Year 4 Multiplication Check (DfE).  The children are supported through games, regular practice and class activities to be confident and proud of their progress.
